Winter Planting

Me and my pal, Denver

I had to sit on the back of a trailer so Denver would leave me alone!

Isn't he the cutest!

Denver was amused & scared by the blower

Since Fall is quickly coming to an end, we decided to go ahead and weed the flower beds and try to get the yard looking good before it's too cold to even step outside, much less do yard work. Although it was a little chili, it was a beautiful day! Denver even "helped" me plant flowers! Yes, I know he is a dog! Ha ha. Really though, he did not leave my side the entire day it seemed like and when I was planting flowers and getting the soil prepped, he would try to get between me and whatever I was trying to do almost as if he was jealous! Have I ever said that he is the sweetest dog!? It was nice spending the whole day with my two favorite boys!

This year, Thanksgiving fell on my birthday and I can't think of a better way to spend it than with family and great food. We had almost everything to eat that you could imagine and although EVERYTHING was delicious, I am still partial to the sweet potato souffle, dressing, and chocolate cake! After we got our bellies full, we played a fun game of Mexican Train Dominoes. Once you get past the confusion, it is a really neat game.
Since it is Thanksgiving, I will share a few things that I am most thankful for at this particular point in my life...
* Jesus' love & forgiveness
* My wonderful husband
* Our families
* Our true friends
* My health (even though sometimes it feels like I am falling apart at twenty-something!)
* Our home
* Our jobs (they were both God-sent)
* Chocolate (I would die without it! HA)
