Once again, the family all gathered for Christmas Eve dinner at my parents house. Since we all rarely ever see each other, it was fun to just chat and catch up. It really amazes me how much Ariana and Tyland are growing. Every time I see them it seems they have grown a "bushel"! Also, it was nice to see baby Elizabeth. I hadn't seen her in a couple of months and she is growing up so fast and is so very sweet...no, really, she is a really good baby! In fact, Brooks says that he has never seen better tempered babies than Elizabeth, my friend's baby, Hayden, and our little nephew, Paxton.

Ever since I was a little girl, I have always enjoyed "star gazing", if you will, whether during the day or at night. On pretty days, I still love to look at the various colors and patterns that the sky produces and that leads me to think about all the wonders of life and everything that is larger than life. It amazes me how the sky is capable of being a colorful palette in the daytime and an endless field of glistening stars and a shining moon at nighttime...So, tell me how something larger could 'not' be watching over us from up above? I like to think that the sky is our Lord's play ground :-)

I realize that some parts of the world are poverty stricken and then there are those parts that are considered the "slums", but no matter where you are in the world there is always a gigantic sky that is conquerable by no man and cannot be changed or altered by man himself. That, to me, is inspiring and uplifting.
