On Saturday, Brooks and I drove to Covington to Brooks's parents house so that we all could ride together to Paxton's B-day party in Douglasville. We got there about two hours before the party started so that we could help set up. It was nice to get to see Pax before everyone arrived and we had fun helping set up for the party as well.

For Paxton's 1st B-day party, he had a Mexican Fiesta...and how festive it was!! There was Moe's to eat, a HUGE inflatable jumpy, lots of festive decorations, a pinata, and sombrero's to wear. Brad even made a very tasty sombrero cookie cake. What better way to turn uno?! Paxton was not sure about the jumpy at first, but he got use to the idea pretty quick. It wasn't long before he was glued to the jumpy! Brooks and I had a lot of fun sliding down the slide with him and catching him at the end. Pax giggled almost every time when he got to the end! It was just the cutest thing. Also, Pax got a lot of cool B-day gifts. I'm sure these gifts will keep him busy for weeks to come!! And...who can forget Pax's B-day cake-or the way in which he ate the cake...yes, Pax dug into the cake without hesitation and kept eating and eating and eating and eating!! He was just cramming it in...bite after bite. We didn't think he would ever stop!

Thanks to Brad and Amy for including us in such a special event! We really enjoyed sharing Pax's B-day! And...Congrats, Pax, you turned uno in a very festive way!

Happy Birthday, Joni!

Friday night was my friend Joni's client appreciation night/Birthday. Joni has been doing my hair for almost eight years now and during that time we've become good friends. One of Joni's clients, Wendy, hosted the party at her beautiful home; the bar area was absolutely gorgeous and the whole atmosphere was so cozy and warm. Wendy was a great hostess/bartender and Joni even joined in on the bar tending...and did a good job...if I do say so myself!! Go Joni, maybe you should think about a night job! Hee hee. I'm sure all your customers wouldn't choose my drink of choice...Diet Coke. Ha ha. Anywho, we had all sorts of hor d'oeuvres and drinks. Brooks and I met several great people (including Stevie, Joni's boyfriend) and even got to catch up with some old friends, Melissa and Lilly. I grew up with Melissa and so it was really nice talking to her and her mom. So, thanks to Wendy and Joni. Brooks and I had a great time!

On Easter Sunday, Brooks and I woke up early to go to church. The Easter service was wonderful...We even got to see a Rap concert while we were there. Yes, you heard me right, we witnessed the Preacher and some of the Deacons Rapping. It was too cute and it got the message across. We got to see the Smith family at church and even took some pics afterwards...The boys were dressed so cute that I just couldn't resist a picture!

After church, Brooks and I headed to my cousin Manda & Danny's for Easter. We had a great lunch and a lot of fun watching the kids hunt eggs and play. Brooks and I really enjoyed getting to see all of my family on my mom's side...it has been years since I have seen some of my cousins...and others that I have never met at all...until today. Thanks, Manda and Danny for being such good hosts and for having us over!
