On Saturday, my mom hosted the annual Spring yard sale. So, I stopped by to drop off a few items and to see everyone. When I arrived at about 9:15 that morning, My Aunt Betty and her two daughters, Manda and Rhonda, were all there trying their luck at yardsellin'...Hee hee. Unfortunately, their luck was not that great. There was not any traffic along a road that is usually non-stop! So, my mom finally put two and two together and figured out that there were two Easter Egg Hunts going on that same morning as well as a festival in Danielsville. So, that explained the lack of traffic and lack of customers...we are guessing. Well, despite not doing so good at yardsellin', one member of the family did have some luck at selling something. Can I ask, "Lemonade, Anyone?" Yep, when my sweet little cousin, Megan, arrived with her dad, she and I went inside and made lemonade to sale. Her mom had gotten her all the fixings needed to make pink and yellow lemonade as well as all the things needed to set up a cute little stand. She had told her mom and dad, Manda and Danny, that she wanted to make money so that she could buy a Nintendo DS. The only problem was that we had to set the price for her because she wanted to sell the Lemonade for a ridiculous price...and she wanted to charge a whole dollar for a refill when the price of a cup was only .50 cents to begin with! Ha Ha! When we explained that charging more for a refill than for the first cup was not a good business strategy, she said, "no, I changed my mind...refills are free". Ha ha ha. This was too funny! All-in-all, I think she did pretty well for herself! It was fun getting to see everyone!
